Claim Office Estimating Features

The Estimating settings section allows you to set up disclaimer printing rules, disclaimers, estimating options, imaging rules, labor prompts, other charges, part codes table, predefined events, predefined notes, and print settings.

ClosedSet Up Disclaimer Printing Rules
Task How to do it

This feature allows you to set up the defaults the program will use in determining which disclaimers to print on your reports.

To set up the disclaimer printing rules

  1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click on the Disclaimer - Printing Rules link.
  4. Make your selections.
  5. Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
ClosedSelect and Edit Disclaimer Text
Task How to do it

This feature allows you to edit or view disclaimer text that appears on the estimate reports.

To select or edit disclaimer text

  1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click the Disclaimer - Text link.
  4. Select the General or Alternate Part disclaimer from the Type droplist, and then edit the information in the Disclaimer field.
  5. Click Save and Close from the toolbar.
ClosedSet Up Estimating Options
Task How to do it

This feature allows you to enable or disable settings for Auto-Compare, Auto-fill on comparison, Display Frame Sheet, and Restrict PDR Coin Selection.

To set up estimating options

  1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click on the Estimating Options link.
  4. Make your selections from the Estimating Options pane on the right.
  5. Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.

 

ClosedEnable Images Required to Lock an Estimate
Task How to do it
When enabled, you must have at least one image attached to the workfile before the estimate can be locked.

To enable images required to lock estimate

  1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click the Image Rules link under Estimating Options.
  4. Select the Images required to lock estimate option.
  5. Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
ClosedSelect Labor Prompt Options
Task How to do it

This feature allows you to set up labor prompts for estimating. These options include:

  • Add for Edging - Always Prompt, Add with Clear Coat, or Add without Clear Coat
  • Add for Underside - Always Prompt, Add with Clear Coat, or Add without Clear Coat
  • Add for Inside - Always Prompt, Add with Clear Coat, or Add without Clear Coat
  • Bumper Refinish Prompt - Do Not Prompt, Prompt Defaults to Yes", or Prompt Defaults to "No"
  • Aim Headlights - Always Prompt or Always Add without Prompt
  • Evacuate & Recharge - Always Prompt or Add without Prompt

To select Labor Prompts options

  1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar.
  2. Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click the Labor Prompts link.
  4. Make your selection from the corresponding droplist for each labor prompt.
  5. Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
ClosedAdd Other Charges
Task How to do it

This feature allows you to add four user defined Other Charges entries.

Adding, editing, or deleting Other Charges in the profile affects the Other Charges available to you when you create an estimate.

To add an Other Charges entry

  1. Select Configure > Profiles from the menu bar..
  2. Select the profile, and then select Edit from the mini-toolbar.
  3. Click the Other Charges link.
  4. Select the Other Charges entry, and then select Edit from the toolbar.
  5. Make the changes in the entry.
  6. Select Save or Save and Close from the toolbar.
